We live in a complicated world. Every day in our towns, state, country and world, we are reminded that issues are increasingly interrelated. More than ever, we need citizens and leaders capable of making informed decisions and taking responsible action in order to address our most pressing issues.

- A Window on the World. Using the forest as the lens through which children can explore the complexity of our environment, Project Learning Tree’s award-winning environmental education curriculum stimulates students’ critical and creative thinking and develops their ability to make informed decisions.
- Because Kids Grow in Nature. Nearly 30 years before Richard Louv’s groundbreaking work Last Child in the Woods identified nature-deficit disorder as a growing problem among American youth, Project Learning Tree was integrating environmental education into schools around the country.
- Teaching Children How to Think, Not What to Think. Issues are complex and leaders capable of identifying real solutions are tolerant of diverse viewpoints. Project Learning Tree teaches children how to investigate, ask questions and analyze information and draw their own conclusions.
