Exploring Environmental Issues in New Hampshire
NH is one of the most heavily forested states in the nation. Our forests play a vital role in shaping our economy, recreational opportunities, and way of life. Today, our forests face many challenges, including population growth, the threat of invasive species, and increasing demands for diverse forms of recreation.
These factsheets introduce teachers and students to some of these complex environmental issues. They offer provocative and balanced information on each issue, as well as resource lists to support further research. They are intended for use in the classroom with students to stimulate critical thinking and discussion.
