Science

New Hampshire’s curriculum standards have undergone substantial change in response to the federal No Child Left Behind Act.  The New Hampshire Frameworks for Science Literacy (K-12), approved in June 2006, address both science content and science skills, and are divided into grade spans of K-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-11 (basic) and 11-12 (advanced).  The Frameworks are organized around three major science content domains - Life Science, Earth Space Science, and Physical Science – as well as a fourth section, Science Process Skills. The complete text for the NH Frameworks for Science Literacy (K-12) are available at www.ed.state.nh.us.

New Hampshire’s Project Learning Tree (NHPLT) recently completed correlations of the following activity guides to the NH Frameworks for Science Literacy (K-12). These correlations will help teachers and administrators demonstrate the value and ease of using PLT activities within their curriculum.

English Language Arts

New Hampshire's curriculum standards have undergone substantial change in response to the federal No Child Left Behind Act. The former state standards were written for the end of grades three, six and ten.  To meet new formalized assessment requirements, the NH K-12 English Language Arts Curriculum Frameworks, approved in June 2006, address content and skills, and are divided into grade level expectations (GLE) K-8 and grade span expectations (GSE) 9-10 and 11-12.

New Hampshire’s Project Learning Tree (NHPLT) recently completed correlations of the following activity guides to the NH English Language Arts (Reading and Written and Oral Communications) Frameworks for grades K-12. These correlations will help teachers and administrators demonstrate the value and ease of using PLT activities within their curriculum.
